A Grizzly Experience (fant)

Oswald walked along the river in peaceful tranquil setting--in his human form. He was in no major hurry. All was quiet, and the sounds of nature calmed his burning heart. Oswald was as thick as he was tall, towering over most of the human race at 6'5" and weighing 450 pounds, much of it muscle, including powerfully built arms, legs, and chest, but he was still quite proud of his large hairy gut. It was a sign of his incredible cooking skills.

However, his peace was quickly ended by a bear cub's cry. The bear cub was caught in a steel bear trap, something that would have been no problem for Oswald to handle except for the other half of this emergency. A large and thick tree was rotted out at the base, and started to fall over the small bear cub.

Oswald needed to act quickly and planted himself between the bear cub and the base of the tree. However, despite his large stature, he was not strong enough to move the falling tree, only stall it slightly, and without quick action, he would easily be crushed as well.

He reached deep into his heart and found the burning rage within him, giving him the strength to transform. His already powerful legs and arms ripped and reset themselves, adding more muscle mass to his entire body. Curiously, not only was his muscles enlarging, but his body got even hairier then before, and his posture took a more powerful stance not seen in thousands of years with the cavemen. Despite his new mass, his camo pants and tattered t-shirt didn't rip with his new size. They only seemed to be slightly snugger then before and seemed to morph with him.

The tree seemed to slow to a standstill with Oswald's new found strength, but he still could not escape in this form.

Once again, Oswald reached deep into the rage in his heart, a rage not unlike that of a mother bear protecting her cubs, and his body exploded with power. His body ripped and reformed painfully as his arms became longer and sprouted deadly bear claws. His legs became even thicker and formed a better standing base. The rest of his body grew to be 16 feet tall, and he weighed in at nearly a ton, possibly an image out of nightmares, half bear, half man, and with enough strength to press the once falling tree over his head. With a mighty heft, he tossed it to the side, about 10 feet away where it landed with a loud thud. Flexing his newly transformed muscles to blow off some
steam, Oswald roared in a rage at his victory.

However, his job was not done. He reverted back to his human form instantly (as it was the form of his birth). His clothes returned to their normal size as if nothing had happened to them. He used his normal (if not still incredible) strength to free the injured cub. He calmed it and tended to its wounds so that it could go on its way. Just another day for one of the world's healers.
