The image left is a modern version of the statue of David which caused a considerable stir when the 25 yr old Michelangelo unveiled it. He would need a bigger fig leaf!

Vintage Gallery Six. This gallery has the pose pouches.

They are so called "Classic" poses as used in the life class situation, where the pouches were dispensed with. As featured in some "soaps" on UK TV!

The guy below has a great build! Here use of a pouch would have been better

Duo poses were often staged. They were sometimes against a back cloth or, as here, outside.

This is almost a standard bodybuilder pose, with the pouch allowing his glutes to show clearly.
