At the time of the original compilation of this page 16-years old John Paul Aranton was the Philippines' Teen Idol in Fitness and Bodybuilding. At an age where most teenagers are looking for acceptance among their peers, building strata for social conformity in school and community, John Paul has found his niche.

John Paul started fitness and training with weights and martial arts (taekwando, kung fu and kickboxing) at a very young age - 10 years old. At 14, he was powerlifting. His life revolved around his relatives - his uncles and cousins. He had left his Mom and Dad back in Oriental Mindoro so he can train with his cousins at their home gym in Metro Manila.

John Paul has gained a lot since this page was posted. I feel that his overall build as a teen (Except perhaps his quite exceptional legs) is what teens could aim for. An "Ideal build" indeed. Worthy of a Michelangelo sculpture! He may also now be in the video business.

John Paul's discipline in his training shows in his overall physique. He trained 4 times a week in the gym. His favorite workout routine is his legs which obviously stands out when you see him in person. But that doesn't mean his other body parts are neglected. Although he knows he needs to work more on his biceps and triceps.
