Touched 12

Simon placed a check next to the last name on his list. He had just spent an hour calling all of the guys on his football team, as well as several other trustworthy jock buddies and talked things over with them. In order for this plan to work, he had to make sure that the people he included checked out. What he was doing might change how his high school functioned for years to come, a goal he hoped to obtain.

Feeling a bit stiff, Simon raised his arms up and stretched his muscles, causing it to bulge and flex under his shirt. Abruptly a seam in the sleeve burst open and he quickly brought his arms back down. That was the fifth shirt he’d ruined within the last week! He knew now that he was growing even bigger and faster than before, and from what Logan had told him, he was just getting started on a major growth spurt. Though he was most likely being paranoid, he could swear that if he looked hard enough in the mirror he could see himself growing taller, his muscles getting bigger and stronger with each breath he took.

It may sound weird, but seeing that body in action gives me a thrill. It’s like it’s not just my body or yours, but ours moving together. In a way, you’re playing the sport for me too.

Simon felt his cock began to stir and quickly suppressed himself from getting hard. He reached up and palmed his left pec, feeling how big and full it felt under his fingers. His muscles were just so big, he could be easily passed off for a pro bodybuilder now. This was his body, and yet it was also Logan’s. It seemed Logan was in full support for him to fully develop this body, so now Simon will just have to meet Logan’s expectations. Though he didn’t need to say it, he would do anything within his power to please his friend. If seeing this body in action made Logan happy, then Simon would just have to make it absolutely perfect for him. He’ll hit the gym harder than ever before, pushing himself to his very limits and then past that. Not only that, he was going to work on his game as well. His tackles will be unstoppable. His passes will hit its target dead on. His running will be so fast no one will ever hope to catch him. Logan loved football and their body, so he was going to make it sync even if it killed him. He didn’t care if he threw up or feel like shit the next day; this was all going to be for Logan.

With his mind on Logan again, Simon reached into his back pocket, got out his wallet and pulled out a picture of his love. It was actually a picture they had taken together in one of those sit in photo booths in the mall. It showed the two of them sitting close, with Simon’s arm around Logan’s shoulder, the two of them smiling for the camera. Though he had several candid shots and a yearbook picture he had blown up on his computer, this was the first that Logan was actually smiling. It was a warm smile, full of kindness, love and emotion. Whenever he looked at it, he would feel a curious fluttering feeling inside of him, followed by a burst of energy.

Now feeling recovered, Simon felt ready to do the hardest of the tasks on his list. He took a deep breath that caused his chest to expand outwards and stretch his shirt, and then he picked up the receiver. He dialed Logan’s home phone number and waited for someone to pick up.

“Hello, Mrs. Warden? It’s Simon.” He said politely. “Is Riley home?”

Logan covered his mouth and gave a big, great yawn. He was sitting in his desk at first period as he waited for the school day to officially start. For some strange reason Simon had told him yesterday afternoon that he wasn’t going to be able to walk him to school that morning because he needed to be there early. He was completely fine with this, though he wondered what Simon could be doing.

Just then rather corny ding dong music sounded from the overhead speaker, signaling the start of the morning announcements. Logan more or less ignored what the announcers had to say and thought more about Simon.

“-give you our two football stars, Riley Warden and Simon, ‘Samson’ Powell!”

Logan snapped out of his thoughts as a collective cheer echoed throughout the school.

“Morning everyone, Simon-”

“And Riley here to bring you some news!”

Logan’s jaw dropped from hearing those two voices. Simon and Riley? Together? He was hearing it, but he couldn't believe it. The only thing that made it seem possible was the fact that even though the two of them sounded like friends, Logan could still hear the tension between them.

“Before we start, I got two things I’d like to say to all the JV football fans out there.” Simon paused long enough for another cheer to sweep the school with only half the force of the first one. “Thanks. First off I’d like to say sorry for screwing up the game last Friday, and I promise you that I’m not going to lose another game from here on. I’ll make sure we go to state and win that trophy!”

Another cheer erupted from Simon’s fans.

“On a lesser note, I’ve decided to ditch the nickname ‘Samson.’ So from now on, just call me by my real name, ‘kay?”

Even as a confused murmur spread in his classroom, Logan felt a faint smile form on his face.

“Alright, I think that’s enough talking about you.” Riley’s voice came on. Even though it was only his voice, Logan could practically see his former brother give a short glare at Simon. They may be doing this announcement together, but they were definitely still not getting along with one another. “Now, let’s get to the heart of the matter. It has come to our attention that this school has a problem with bullies. Of course, that’ll never do. Normally someone’s advice would be to inform a teacher or a counselor, but some students may be afraid that they’ll be hurt even worse.”

“This is why we thought of an alternative to the problem.” Simon said smugly. “It’s called H.E.R.O.E.S., The Help Enforce Rules of Everyone’s Safety.”

“I still think that name sounds stupid.” Riley’s voice was audible in the background.

“If there’s someone who is picking on you,” Simon continued while ignoring Riley’s comment, “or is mistreating you in any way, you can come with us and we’ll be there to help you and we’ll personally take care of your little bullying problems.”

“Just so you know, members of H.E.R.O.E.S. includes both the entire JV and Varsity football teams, as well as the wrestling, basketball and water polo teams, along with a few from track, lacrosse, tennis and several other sports.” Riley listed off.

“So next time you see a member of H.E.R.O.E.S. in the hallway, don’t be afraid to go up to them and ask for help.” Simon ordered. “They’ll listen to ya, no matter who you are. No matter who the bully is, even if he’s twice your size or even the most popular guy in school and threatens to pound on you if you squeal, we’ll protect you from him.”

“And if he tries to do anything…” Riley trailed off.

“…We’ll just have to persuade him not to.” Simon finished, followed by the sound of knuckles cracking.

“We’re still looking for more members to join.” Riley informed them. “The requirements are that you have to be on a sports team of some type and have a desire to help others. Speak with a member about joining and they’ll inform you about the time of the next meeting.”

“Well with that done, we’ll now return you to your regularly scheduled classes.” Simon said in a light tone.

“Have a nice day!” Riley concluded, and then the P.A. went dead.

Immediately everyone began to talk with each other rapidly from the surprise announcement between the two well known rivals. Logan, however, sat in his seat with a big grin on his face. It must’ve taken a lot of self control and pride swallowing for Simon to have called up Riley and do this. He could only imagine the tension that was probably building up between the two at that very moment.

“Simon!”

Simon stopped in mid step down the hallway to turn around to watch as Sophie and Howard caught up to him. “Hey Sophie, hey Howard.” Simon greeted them. “Did you hear my announcement this morning?”

“Well of course we did.” Sophie told him. “And I think it’s a great idea to form an anti-bully team. It’s about time the school began to solve its own problems.”

“Yea, I think it’s awesome you set this up.” Howard added his two cents in. “Plus I think it was genius to get the sports teams involved. No bully in his right mind would mess with a big football player.”

“Speaking of football players, how did you manage to get Riley involved?” Sophie tilted her head to the side in the form of a questioning gaze.

“Very patiently.” Simon growled under his breath. At first he didn’t want to listen to me, but after half an hour he agreed to at least hear me out. We spent an hour after that arguing, but eventually he saw my way.”

“So have you had any cases yet?” Sophie asked.

Howard looked over at her. “The announcements were only just this morning, Sophie. I don’t think there’d be any action in only three hours.”

“Actually we’ve been getting plenty of reports.” Simon grinned broadly. “We’ve already had about five victims come to us as far as I know so far, and a few of our members actually stopped a few bullies in action too. If all goes well, I think H.E.R.O.E.S. will become a permanent organization.”

“That sounds great.” Sophie smiled. “Oh, and speaking of bullies…” She reached into her pocket and pulled out a folded sheet of paper. “Here’s the list you wanted.”

Simon grabbed the list somewhat impatiently and opened it up. He was shocked by the number of people listed on it, and he felt his muscles tightened and tense up. “Thanks you two. I knew I can count on you both.”

Sophie shook her head. “No, I should have realized what was going on sooner. I was just so busy dealing with that wall between the two of you that I didn’t see what was happening to him right in front of my eyes. If I had known about it, I would have done something a lot sooner.”

“Either way, I thank you for getting me these names.” Simon said without looking up from the list. “I wouldn’t have been able to get any of these without your help.”

“It wasn’t that hard to find out all the names.” Howard said, folding his hands behind his head.

“With Howard’s power he can more or less find out any secret in the school. He’s pretty useful to have around when there’s something you want to find out.” Sophie glanced over towards her boyfriend with a small smile. Howard responded by blushing faintly.

The corner of Simon’s mouth curved up slightly, and then he turned his attention back to the list, mentally checking out each individual name. “What’s with the marks next to these last three?” Simon pointed to the bottom of the list. “Tyler Baxter, Norman Wales and Dean Johnson? But I know these guys. They’re pretty nice people; I even slept with them once or twice. Are you sure these three aren’t a mistake?”

Sophie’s eyes hardened. “They’re the ones who attacked Logan last Friday.”

Immediately Simon stiffened up, his grip on the paper tightened and threatened to rip it apart by accident. If it wasn’t for Sophie’s power, he’d probably have completely lost it. “What? Why would they do that?” He demanded.

Sophie paused for a moment, her face scanning Simon. “It’s because they knew he was the reason for your loss on Friday.”

Simon felt as if someone had thrown a bucket of ice cold water onto him. “What?”

Howard’s expression became grim. “It’s the truth. A lot of people saw how you looked after you came out of that bathroom Friday morning and it doesn’t take a genius to connect your poor play with what happened in there. There are a lot of people who blames Logan, but these guys are the ones who actually did something.”

Simon felt a slightly sick feeling, followed by a surge of anger. “Thanks. I’ll personally make sure they get what’s coming to them, as well as every other person on this list.”

“What exactly are you going to do to them? Howard asked curiously.

“Well, since I promise Logan not to do any permanent damage, I won’t be tearing their limbs off one by one.” Simon said darkly, and then broke out into a wicked grin. “However a few bruises and some temporary, intense pain ought to do. I’ve been aching to try out some wrestling holds to see which one hurts the most.”

“Well if that’s the case, can you give Dean a good Russian Backbreaker?” Sophie requested with a serious face. “He’s the one who actually beat up Logan while the other two held him down.”

“Throw in a Full Nelson for me too.” Howard added.

“I will.” Still grinning, Simon placed the list in his pocket for safe keeping. “And I’ll make sure to get every last person on this list as well.”

“That’s all and good, but shouldn’t you be having lunch with Logan right about now?” Howard pointed out.

Simon’s eyes widened as he suddenly remembered where he had been headed. He turned around and began sprinting down the hallway, not bothering to say goodbye to Sophie and Howard.

“Excitable, isn’t he?” Sophie observed. “He seemed to have forgotten his manners.

“Logan tends to do that to him, yes.” Howard nodded. He looked in the direction Simon had taken and for once his face became almost sad. “Do you think it was the right thing to get them together?”

Sophie closed her eyes. “I…don’t know. It’s going to be hard for the both of them. Only time can tell whether or not if this was the right path for the both of them. Until then…we can only pray.”

“Yea.” Without word Howard reached over and held her hand. “I hope so too.”

Logan was busily poking his salad with his fork when Simon finally sat down at his table. “What took you so long?” Logan teased the big guy.

Simon grinned as he scoot his chair in. “Sorry, I was talking with someone in the halls and I forgot the time.”

Logan looked down at the tray Simon had set down onto the table top. As usual it was loaded with junk food, though lately there had been even more piled on then normal. Well, normal for Simon, actually.

“Gee, are you planning to eat for the entire football team?” Logan poked fun at him.

“I can’t help it, I’m hungry.” Simon shrugged Logan’s tease off. “And lately my appetite’s been going up a lot.”

“I’ll bet.” Logan suddenly smiled mysteriously. “I heard your announcement this morning.”

Simon waited a bit before nervously asking Logan. “So…what did you think of it?”

“I think it’s the sweetest thing anyone’s ever done for me.” Logan said simply.

Simon felt his face burn and he quickly bowed his head before Logan could see. However, the exuberant feeling he felt swell in his chest made him smile all the same. “Y-you think so? I mean, I know you didn’t want me to get involve in your bullying problems, but I had to do something. It’s not like I can just sit back and relax, knowing someone’s being mean to you.”

“I know you can’t.” Logan looked at Simon almost dreamily. “It’s a part of your nature to do anything to help a friend. It’s one of the many things I like about you.”

If Simon’s face had been burning before, it was probably smoking now. Not only was he embarrassed, he felt his libido kick in once more and it took everything he had to stop himself from jumping out of his chair and fucking Logan right then and there. Shit it looked like Logan wasn’t kidding about his sex drive increasing. Throughout for the past few days all his mind ever thought about giving Logan the fuck of his life. Logan was so close to him now that he could almost taste those lips. Before his emotions could get away from him, he reminded himself that he was trying to prove to Logan that he really loved him, and not just want him for a sex partner. He had to beat this stupid attraction magic! Desperately needing something to shift the conversation to another subject, he watched as Logan spearheaded a piece of lettuce with his fork.

“You know, maybe you won’t be so skinny if you ate more meat.” Simon suggested. “I’ve noticed it before, but you always eat salads and light food. No offense, but I don’t think a diet is good for someone as skinny as you are.”

“It’s not like I like eating this every day.” Logan informed him, twirling his fork around in his fingers. “But fries go straight to my hips.”

“Huh?”

Logan laughed at Simon’s puzzled face. “Well, let me ask you a question then: How can you eat all that junk and not gain a single pound of fat?”

“I have good metabolism I guess.” Simon shrugged. Then it dawned on him. “Oh.”

Logan pointed his fork at Simon. “Exactly.” Logan winked.

“Oh.” Simon said again. “I’m-”

“Ah bup bup!” Logan cut off his apology. “I thought we agreed that you’d stop apologizing for something you have no control over.”

Simon blinked in surprise. “Ah, sor-”

“What did I just say?” Logan interrupted him again.

Simon stared at Logan, then a soft smile formed on his lips and the corner of his eyes crinkled. “Alright.”

Logan smiled back as he lowered his gaze. For a long moment he looked at his salad, thinking something over. Finally he set his fork down and pushed the greens away from him. “Alright, I’ve decided.”

“Decided what?” Simon arched an eyebrow.

“I’m not going to stay on this diet anymore.” Logan said firmly. “What’s the point of living if you can’t enjoy every moment of it?” He reached forward and grabbed a hamburger from Simon’s tray. He gave the burger a big bite and chewed it slowly, fully savoring the flavor before swallowing. “Mmm…just how I remembered it.”

“You sure that’s a good idea?” Simon asked as he watched Logan devour his hamburger.

Instead of answering, Logan pointed his finger at Simon’s soda. “You gonna drink that?” Before Simon could answer Logan already stole it from him and was already gulping it down.
