Tim's Problem

"Mrs. Johnson, treating Tim's problem is going to be very easy for the most part. Tim's condition will be treated with hormone therapy and this will help him develop normally. The condition is called "hypogonadism" and this can treated in multiple ways. There are many treatment options. Some Doctors treat this far less agressively than I do. I feel the results are best when multiple drugs are used simultaneously. The first thing I use is a new version of a drug called HCG or 'human chorionic gonadotropin'. What this does is to encourage all the testosterone production we can get from Tim's own glands. Tim will also receive several different versions of testosterone including one specifically designed to help him develop the secondary sex characteristics he should have. The versions I use are different from many others practicing in the field. To do this the way many other doctors operate would require you to take poor Tim in three times a week for shots. I have maintained friendships with some of the best research physicians who trained the Olympic teams behind the Iron Curtain for decades. One of these men developed a new type of drug implant that will dispense what Tim needs over time and this will save him from being turned into a pincushion by injections again and again.

"The best part is the final component of the comprehensive treatment Tim will receive. We will do a very minor harvest of bone marrow from the femur in one of Tim's thighs. From that we extract some DNA, and then we make some alterations. The Genome experiment and what we now know makes it possible for Tim to actually be 'cured'. This would not have been possible even two years ago.

"What happens is that we make some minor alterations in the DNA and Tim's testicles and the other regulatory glands which produce the hormones Tim needs will be repaired by his own body. They will be not only working, but they will be doing it far more efficiently and far better than they could have without the modifications.

"The hardest part of this treatment is that it works far faster than any other, and the downside if you can call it that is that Tim will develop and grow at a rate that would be far faster and far more pronounced than that of his peers.

"In most young fellows Tim's age from beginning to end this kind of development takes place over a period of years. In Tim, if we go ahead with this treatment option, this development will take place within a matter of two to three months instead. This can be a little rough on the parents and it can be a little rough on the kids too. Tim is going to take some 'razzing' at school from his friends because he is going to be speeding through puberty and a lot more at express train speed. Tim goes to P.T. Barnum Junior High doesn't he?"

"Yes, Doctor, he does…"

"I have another patient with the same problem who attends that school. We harvested Jason's bone marrow last week and will do the implants on him as soon as the treated blood has been returned to him."

"You know Doctor, since Jim died in that awful car accident, the money has been OK, but I have been totally alone to make all these decisions. If it were your son what would you do?"

"Mrs. Johnson, all of the treatment options have their good and bad sides. I cannot tell you what to do with regards to Tim, but if I found myself in the same situation, I would weigh the positives and negatives. I think that what Tim would have to tolerate in inconvenience, pain and suffering, and all the rest with the less aggressive treatments would be far more uncomfortable than the razzing he will take in school. Those treatments also leave Tim on medications for the rest of his life. This option is more or less a couple of visits and that is it. We will monitor him through the process, but that is standard operating procedure no matter which option you choose.

J"ust thinking about time Mrs. Johnson. How long does Tim have to go at Barnum?

"He only has about two more months to go."

"Which High School will Tim be attending?"

"He will be headed for Spiro T. Agnew over on Central."

"Agnew is a good school, I know the head Football Coach over there, Dave Grayson"

"Mrs. Johnson, if we do this treatment I need to tell you what you can expect."

"OK Doctor…"

"Tim first will manifest a 'sex-drive'. That will start within a couple of days of the implant. This will, over the duration of the treatment, become quite strong. Tim will have a strong need to relieve himself sexually. I don't know your views on masturbation Mrs. Johnson, but on this course of treatment Tim is going to have to have some sexual outlet. Give him space to do this and for his own good leave him alone on the subject. It is also normal and part of sexual exploration for males to masturbate together. Again, this is a medical need for Tim and he needs to be given space and some privacy to do it. Since there is no Father in the home, I will give a little talk to Tim about what is and what is not appropriate. He will probably have wet dreams as well and expect that sheet washing is going to be something frequent. His penis will grow and enlarge as will his testicles. He is going to grow body and facial hair and this is going to happen very quickly. I would plan on buying Tim some clothing before the Summer is over. You may have to buy him pants before that time. Voice changes take place usually within the first two weeks, and in our experiences the speed of these changes are astounding. It goes in stages, and then all of a sudden there is this different voice coming out of your kid. If you expect this, it is not too much of a shock. If you are not prepared for it, again this can be a little rough…

"Mrs. Johnson… ahem… was your husband 'well endowed'?"

"Yes Doctor… Jim was very well endowed. He was almost too large for me. On several occasions I had trouble accommodating him."

"We have found that the young men who receive this treatment option tend to be very well endowed indeed. Tim may in the end become larger than his Father was.

"Even without exercise Tim's body will become more masculine with muscle definition and development looking like that of an athlete. With regards to his height there may initially be a growth spurt but that is usually not changed in any direction.

"Tim is going to be far more masculine in appearance and demeanor than his years Mrs. Johnson. I almost call these cases 'transformations' because the change is so profound.

"By the end of the school year Tim will be very different, and by the end of the summer Tim will not look at all or sound at all like he does now."

"The other thing I can do Mrs. Johnson is to introduce Tim to our other patient with this same condition. As I said before, his name is Jason and this will give both young men an outlet and a way to share what is happening to them. Also, if I remember correctly Jason's mother is a widow as well. Maybe you would like to meet her… She was somewhat hesitant in the beginning and that is understandable, but if you both share your concerns with each other over things you have in common. I can call her if you would like…… She has had this experience twice. Her oldest son Michael was also a victim of hypogonadism and he was the very first patient I ever had who received this treatment."

"That would be very kind of you Doctor…"

"Nurse, would you send Tim Johnson in please.

"Mrs. Johnson, at this time I need to speak with Tim man to man and discuss with him what your decisions will mean.

"It was difficult for you to digest the coming changes. For Tim himself it is not going to be real easy either. I need to do this, and also deal with the masturbation issues. I am certain that you would be more comfortable in the waiting room.

"Thank you Doctor…"
