Cervar-Porat is located 3km north of
Porec. This is a small new town completely built in
the 1980's. It consists almost completely of apartment
houses surrounded by olive groves and coniferous forests.
There is a marina in the centre and also many coffee
bars, restaurants, pizza places and shops. While the
green areas are well maintained, the whole town looks
like it needs some refreshing. For example there is
a closed, neglected hotel and several bars and shops
are closed or for sale. The most of the apartments and
houses are owned by Croats and Slovenes who take the
vacation there and who also rent their properties to
other, mostly Eastern European, tourists.

Main beach in Cervar-Porat is only 500m
from the town and it is 1,5km long. There are several
beach bars and small restaurants offering simple meals.

Cervar-Porat coastline is still naturally
preserved and if you walk along the beach paths south
of Cervar you will encounter many small coves and beaches
used by naturists, particularly men in all age groups.
The most visited place for gay men is the first cape
after Cervar in direction Ulika naturist camping. This
is one of the most popular gay beaches in Porec area.
Cervar-Porat is usually not shown on tourists
maps but it can be found easily - it is located between
Porec and Novigrad. If you are driving on the road between
Porec and Novigrad (not the main Istrian highway, but
the local road between those two places) you have to
turn left if coming from direction Porec (or right if
coming from direction Novigrad, Tar) at the intersection
which points to Cervar and Ulika naturist camping. After
that there is another intersection pointing straight
ahead to Ulika and right to Cervar. Turn right there
and park somewhere in Cervar. Walk to the beach and
then keep on walking along the coast to left, toward
Ulika camping. Soon you will reach the nudist wild beaches
popular among gay men.
